A memecoin launchpad is a platform where you enter a name, ticker, image and description and it creates a token with preset rules. Supply is fixed, mint and freeze authorities are usually disabled and trading starts immediately on a bonding curve. The platform takes a fee on trades. On Solana pump.fun is the largest, alongside LetsBonk and Moonshot among others; on Base there are Zora and Clanker, and on BNB Chain Four.meme.

Launchpads are why thousands of new tokens appear every day. Preset rules remove some technical risks, but they do not protect you from a creator who buys a large share of supply from many wallets, or from a token that is simply abandoned.
