DYOR
Also: do your own research
DYOR stands for do your own research. It appears at the end of posts, threads and videos about tokens, next to NFA (not financial advice). The intent is good: nobody should buy just because someone else recommended it.
In practice DYOR is often an excuse. An account paid to promote a token adds DYOR to shift the responsibility onto the reader. Real research on a memecoin means concrete steps: checking the full contract address, the mint and freeze authorities, the liquidity and whether it is burned or locked, the holder distribution, the creator wallet's history and whether the token can be sold at all. You can read most of that from an explorer and a risk report in a few minutes.
